Crane beams Austria

An order from the Client from Austria for the prefabrication and delivery of over 800 Mg of crane beams.

The order concerned elements with lengths of up to 21.5m and individual element weights exceeding 16Mg. The beams will be installed in the steel mill’s rolling mill hall, where work takes place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These elements will be subjected to constant dynamic loads.

In order to extend the life of the beams, the Client requires that quality requirements exceed the standards, especially in relation to the dimensional tolerances of the beams and the scope of weld testing, which Zekon has coped with very well.
