The order concerned the construction of a high-storage hall. All the halls we built for this Client have main frames made of SIN profiles.
The last object deserves special attention. Due to the large spans of 26.5 m and the height of the halls of 28.3 m, the main elements of the frames – SIN profiles were designed in a divided version, i.e. sections of 13.5 m and twice 6.5 m.
In the case described above, maintaining the straightness of the profiles and high-quality connection geometry is a very important issue. Every 1 mm of inaccuracy in the contact surface causes the end of the profile to deviate from the axis by 15 mm.
Careful preparation of production and the use of numerically controlled machining centres made it possible to achieve the required accuracy, both in the assembly and welding of elements.
The recently ordered hall is located in an area where there are mining exploitation category II effects, resulting in ground deformation. In connection with this, both the structure itself and the welds were designed to be more massive, and the number of ultrasonic tests significantly increased in relation to standard requirements.
A professional crew and supervision over the quality of the work performed, conducted in the same way as production over three shifts (including non-destructive visual/magnetic/ultrasonic testing) allow for achieving the expected results and customer satisfaction.
SIN profiles are an ideal product for this type of application, which has been confirmed by numerous expert opinions from renowned universities in Austria, Germany and Poland.
