Construction of a huge, 122-metre-high steel structure for cement plant of the Märker group, in which a new, innovative furnace was installed, consuming significantly less energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by as much as 25 percent compared to the furnace currently used.

In order to implement such an installation and achieve the full level of energy efficiency, our help was necessary.

Due to the large dimensions, materials used and narrow tolerances, we had to subject this project to detailed analyses before it started and during its implementation. The analyses of the manufacturing technology were carried out both in terms of the assembly of the elements into the shipping positions and the method of conducting welding work, which in many cases had to be multi-stage and under constant control of the given parameters.

We managed to complete the project in less than a year, processing approximately 2,700 tons of steel in grades from S235JR to S355NL.

Thanks to the materials used, the manufacturing technology applied and a qualified group of employees, we were able to prefabricate a steel structure of the highest quality that met our client’s expectations.
